Neuras Wine and Wildlife Estate
Our unique winery, one of the driest in the world, is set on the edge of the Namib Desert in the foothills of the majestic Naukluft Mountains, and is typical of the pro-Namib geological and natural environment.
Ancient canyons and fascinating geological formations, including million-year-old fossils, provide spectacular opportunities for nature hikes. We produce an enchanting Shiraz and a palette tempting blend, with exclusive brandy and dessert wines adding to the liquid decadence.
Choose to stay in a charming chalet, enjoy a cellar and vineyard tour, be tempted by our wines and join our field researchers for the thrill of carnivore tracking. We can also arrange an excursion to see some of Namibia’s natural wonders – the Tsauchab River, Sossusvlei or the spectacular Honey Canyon.
For all guest types, we offer economy accommodation in the stone built en-suite chalets, shaded by large acasia and ebony trees, all with linen towels provided. There is a swimming pool for cool dips after a hit day in the desert and sundowners can be enjoyed in the stone-built lapa. Pleasant short walks along the dry river bed or to the springs can be undertaken at one’s leisure.
Guests may choose to have all meals fully catered with our dinner, bed and breakfast option, with home cooked Namibian meals, combining the simple joys of local cuisine with elegance and refinement. Alternatively, guests may decide to cater for themselves using our guest braai set which is located in the shade of trees.
